These images were made in and around Oak Park, Illinois in the early 1980s.
For this digital gallery they were scanned from 5"x7", 8"x10" and 11"x14" original prints and 35mm color slides.
Most of the photographs were taken with a 35mm single lens reflex film camera.
The black & white infrared images were created with Kodak High Speed Infrared Black & White Print Film (135-36 HIE 169 2086) and a Wratten Gelatin Filter No. 25 (red) . This filter allowed only red and infrared light to expose the film.
Other films used were Kodak color infrared film (Ektachrome Professional Infrared/EIR), Kodak Kodachrome and Ektachrome 35mm slide films, Kodak Tri-X, Panatomic-X, and Plus-X 35mm film. Some were shot with a twin-lens reflex camera using 120 roll film.
