A star-forming nebula seen from the surface of nearby planet

This relatively small nebula is only a few light years from our vantage point on this planet, hence it makes a spectacular display in the evening sky. A young blue-giant star illuminates the surface of the star cloud. A second star, buried within, causes parts of the cloud to fluoresce a magenta hue.
