| I was born in 1958 in Indiana
in the USA and now live
near Chicago. I am a freelance web
designer and computer graphics artist, in addition to whatever other gigs I can
drum up. I am an artist member of the
International Association of Astronomical Artists (IAAA).
Ever since I was old enough to hold a pencil, I've been
attempting to render images of space ships and dinosaurs. In 1982 I acquired
my first programmable computer: a Timex Sinclair 1000, with 2KB of onboard
RAM, upgradeable to a whopping 16KB. At $100, it was the least expensive
retail computer available. Connected to a black & white television, you
could program "reasonably" dynamic graphics using its built-in BASIC
interpreter, but its capacity
was easily topped out. Despite the 1000's limitations, I found that it was
easier to draw a straight line with a computer than with a pencil, and
that's how I became enamored by the power of computer graphics.
I've dabbled in computer graphics ever since. As I already
have a website dedicated to space art,
this site is home to my other dabbles...er doodles... If you like something,
let me know. High resolution versions of these graphics are available either
as prints or downloads. |
