| Walter Myers was born in 1958 in Indiana
in the USA and now lives
near Chicago. He is a freelance web
designer and computer graphics artist, in addition to whatever other gigs he can
drum up. Walter is an artist member of the
International Association of Astronomical Artists (IAAA).
Ever since Walter was old enough to hold a pencil, he's been
attempting to render images of space ships and dinosaurs. In 1982 Walter acquired
my first programmable computer: a Timex Sinclair 1000, with 2KB of onboard
RAM, upgradeable to a whopping 16KB. At $100, it was the least expensive
retail computer available. Connected to a black & white television, one
could program "reasonably" dynamic graphics using its built-in BASIC
interpreter, but its capacity
was easily topped out. Despite the 1000's limitations, Walter found that it was
easier to draw a straight line with a computer than with a pencil, and
that's how he became enamored by the power of computer graphics.
Walter's dabbled in computer graphics ever since. As he already
has a website dedicated to space art,
this site is home to Walter's other dabbles...er doodles... If you like something,
let Walter know. High resolution versions of these graphics are available either
as prints or downloads. |
